Present to you our first Chinese New Year collection. The inspiration of our first Lunar collection came from the Chinese painting, “You Hua” (油画) and Chinese fan, “Shan Zi” (扇子). The vibrant prints on the top were inspired by the cloud often depicted in Chinese painting. These were specifically hand drawn by our Creative Director, Jewel herself. In this collection, we reconstructed the traditional Chinese costume. The combination of the vibrant red unisex “Hua” (画) printed top and our “Tu” (兔) skirt is meant to recreate the old Shanghai feel. While the yellow unisex “Hua” (画) printed top and our “Shan Zi” (扇子) trousers are meant to showcase the collision between the Eastern and Western styles.
